In the first 20 minutes both sides lacked the final ball and therefore both defences dominated. Unfortunately, in the 24th minute, Coleshill opened their account following a mix-up in the Chelmsley defence, they allowed Coleshill to cut inside to slot home.
Immediately after the restart, a well floated free kick into the box from Jimmy Stafford should have led to an equaliser but Matt Matin's on-target header went well over. Some three minutes later the best move of the game between Andy Barnett, Partick Spencer and Bobby Barrett, deserved to result in a goal, but Andy Barnett's shot was just off target.
The rest of the first half saw Chelmsley pushing for an equaliser which, on the balance of play, was deserved, but although some good interpassing approach play was produced, sadly the final ball and final shot was not. As sometimes happens when sides are pushing for the equalising goal, they get caught on the back, this happened in the 41st minutes when Chelmsley's defence stopped whilst appealing for offside and this allowed Coleshill to net well from the far side of the box.
HALF TIME: 2-0
The second half was a very disappointing affair with both sides unable to produce the football in what turned out to be a 100 mph contest. On full time Coleshill went further ahead following a mistake by Paul Yeomans.
FINAL SCORE: 3-0

BARRETT HOMES IN FOR CHELMSLEY
BOBBY Barrett struck four times as Chelmsley put the last couple of bad results behind them with a convincing victory in the second round of the Influence Combination Cup.
Chelmsley could of been three up in the first ten minutes but Becketts defended well In the 15th minute new signing Mark Gamble put Barrett through for his first goal. Five minutes later the same player made it 2-0 from a Tony Gormley cross.
Kelly brought Becketts back into game with a goal just before half time.
In the second half Chelmsley started with a storm and were 4-1 up inside ten minutes with Barrett on target twice.
Neil Pitkin made it five from a Bell through ball before Marshall scored Becketts second to finalise the scoring.

In the second half Police ran amok and added six more goals Hussey scored two with a close range header and a right foot drive.
Scriven set up McMenamin with a neat back heel for number five and Powney ran through a demoralised defence to blast home his second goal.
West scored next from the spot after Scriven tripped and In the last minute McMenamin completed the rout with a fierce left foot drive.

MILE OAK threw away two vital points on Saturday against a very poor Chelmsley side.
Rovers failed to capitalise on their first half superiority when they built up a two lead. First they went ahead after 25 minutes when freekick by Thurman was headed against the bar by Ellison and Bartholemew followed up to force the ball over the line. They increased their lead on 40 minutes when Stibbs headed at the far post following cross from Ellison. Chelmsley were allowed back into match when on the stroke of half-time , sloppy defensive play allowed Chelmsley to strike. Rovers nearly went further ahead just after half time when debut maker Wassail went clear only for keeper to make a fine save. Chelmsley equalised after 56 minutes when Lewis scored coolly after a corner had only been partially cleared. Brookes denied Chelmsley with a good save late on and the Chelmsley keeper did the same when be made a superb save from Ellison in the dying seconds. In end this was a game which Rovers should have won comfortably on the amount of possession they had and they only have themselves to blame for not grabbing maximum points.
