A goal by Simon Sturridge on 60 minutes gave Blues victory over Midland Combination side Chelmsley Town.
Sturridge followed up from close range after a Louie Donowa header rebounded off the bar.
The scoreline would have been greater but for some brilliant saves by Town goalkeeper Gary Adkins.
BLUES have taken another international on trial - Armenian midfielder Ara Bedrossian.
Seven times capped by Cyprus, Ara - nicknamed Harry - won the Cypriot Championship three times with Appoel before joining QPR last season.
He then moved to Fulham for the last couple of months when Mark Copper first alerted father Terry about him following his transfer from Blues.
Ara, 26, impressed during the 1-0 friendly win over Chelmsley Town last night, hitting the bar with one shot.
Evesham FC winger Joe Dowling, 21, from Kings Heath, is also on a week's trial and played last night.
Blues were expecting to see Solihull Borough's Reckey Carter back at training to prepare for tomorrow's match at Hereford after a mix-up meant he failed to turn up last night.
Blues have taken Solihull Borough striker Reckey Carter on trial.
The 20-year-old, scorer of 40 goals from 57 league and cup games last season, is likely to figure in tonight's friendly at Chelmsley Town (7.30).
Carter spent two weeks with Port Vale last season and Blues watched him several times for the Beazer Premier team.
Out-of-favour Trevor Matthewson, Louie Donowa and Simon Sturridge are also set to play in tonight's match at Chelmsley.
